WEEK WITHOUT DRIVING
Oct 1 - Oct 8 2026
Join North Bay riders, organizers, and ask your elected leaders to go a week without driving , in order to reveal what works, what breaks, and what needs to change in our transportation infrastructure.
October 1- October 8 2026
North Bay campaign week

The Week Without Driving Challenge is a national, annual event highlighting the barriers faced by those who can’t or don’t drive. The challenge invites elected leaders, municipal staff and community members to go about their daily lives – commuting, shopping, attending meetings – without driving themselves. Public transit, walking, biking and having someone else chauffeur are all encouraged. Elected leaders shape the systems that either include or exclude. By experiencing a week without driving, leaders can identify gaps, build empathy, and make informed, inclusive transportation decisions.
